Lady Gaga Announces 'Harlequin' Album for Joker Sequel

Lady Gaga has announced 'Harlequin,' a companion album to the highly anticipated film 'Joker: Folie à Deux.' This new musical project promises to enrich the cinematic experience with its unique soundscapes, adding depth and dimension to the film’s storytelling. Fans eagerly await its release.

Lady Gaga is not messing around when it comes to new music! The Oscar-winning singer announced on Tuesday that she will be releasing a new album titled "Harlequin," which she described as a companion album to the upcoming film "Joker: Folie à Deux," where she stars alongside Joaquin Phoenix.

The album, featuring 13 tracks, is set to drop on September 27th. Song titles revealed include "Good Morning," "World on a String," and "The Joker," among others.

Gaga had been teasing the announcement with cryptic messages and audio snippets on her Instagram over the past week, leaving fans eager for a reveal.

"I'm ready for my interview," read one post. "Moondust gets everywhere," read another.

In "Joker: Folie à Deux," Gaga portrays Lee Quinzel, better known as the iconic comic book character Harley Quinn, in the highly anticipated sequel to Todd Phillips' 2019 "Joker" movie. The cast also includes Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener, Brendan Gleeson, and Ken Leung.

Gaga has previously earned critical acclaim for her songwriting contributions to films she starred in.

In 2019, she won an Oscar for Best Original Song for "Shallow," written and performed for the 2018 film "A Star is Born." She also received nominations for the same category in 2022 for her "Top Gun: Maverick" song "Hold My Hand," and in 2016 for "Til It Happens to You" for the movie "The Hunting Ground."

"Harlequin" appears to be a separate project from Gaga's upcoming seventh studio album, which she's been teasing on social media. Earlier this month, she announced that the first single from the new studio album will be released sometime in October, following her 2020 album "Chromatica."
